Matthew Buxton

Matthew is a Supervising Senior Tax Analyst within GTM’s State and Local (SALT) practice. He specializes in current-year compliance, which includes preparing unitary and separate state returns for all 50 states and several local jurisdictions. He also reviews separate returns and mentors younger staff.

Prior to joining GTM, Matthew worked as a Lead Tax Consultant at DuCharme, McMillen & Associates, Inc. (DMA) before the practice joined GTM in 2025.

Outside of work, Matthew enjoys spending time with his wife and one-year-old son. Together, they enjoy reading books and spending time outside.
