Reaching beyond tax
GTM employees are actively involved in giving back to our communities, both personally and professionally.
As a firm, we sponsor, support, and recruit tax talent from diverse association partners including ACLAMO, ALPFA, NAAAP, and NABA.
Among the many organizations we support is Autism Speaks. To date, we’ve raised over a quarter million dollars, which goes towards autism research, local grants that allow children to go to summer camps, and local resources for families.
Another way we give back is through our annual day of service. Across all offices, we identify local organizations that would benefit from our employees volunteering time to assist with the manual labor regularly needed by the charities.

Mobilizing impact where it counts

Listening and education are at the core of our diversity efforts. We host a quarterly educational learning series and actively spread awareness of events, milestones, and recognitions to celebrate our diverse teams. At GTM, all employees are encouraged to share their own ideas for ways to better teach others about their varied cultures.

Leadership and mentorship. GTM provides training and other resources to uplift marginalized employees as a pathway to advancement. Our mentorship program is specifically designed to benefit a diverse range of employees.

Attracting and retaining diverse talent. GTM is expanding its channels for finding new talent at the college-graduate and experienced-hire levels, partnering strategically with organizations that provide access to unique talent. Internally, the GTM DEI Committee is dedicated to leveling the playing field and bringing to light issues that concern our employees. We also host fun, competitive team-building events designed to drive learning and inclusion for all.

Community involvement. Our commitment to community support began decades ago and continues to gain momentum. Today, we take special measures to ensure this community support is inclusive and aligns with the values and aspirations of our employees. Often, this means fundraising or providing pro-bono services to minority-owned organizations to enable them to carry out the life-changing goals of their mission.
