David Sekula

CEO & Executive Director

As CEO, Dave oversees the firm’s operations including personnel, services and markets. He ensures that GTM continues to provide exceptional client service, maintains a strong culture, and structures the firm for continued growth.

Prior to his appointment as CEO, Dave served as the Managing Director overseeing the Mid-Atlantic as well as Chief Revenue Officer. In this role, he was responsible for providing leadership and direction in the execution of GTM’s core suite of services. He specializes in tax accounting, international tax, and tax technology.

Dave joined GTM in 2006 and co-founded the Tax Automation Services (TAS) practice with an emphasis on tax accounting. Since that time, he has helped GTM become a recognized market leader in tax accounting automation and tax accounting services. Dave services a wide range of industries including life sciences, oil and gas, manufacturers, and various services industries.

Prior to joining GTM, Dave held management positions in both tax and accounting for Smiths Group North America and GlaxoSmithKline. His extensive knowledge of Fortune 500 multinational organizations covers a wide spectrum of tax and finance functions including Federal, state, and international corporate income tax, ASC 740 Income Tax Accounting, sales/ use/VAT taxes, unclaimed property compliance, general ledger accounting, financial reporting, project management, and database administration.

Dave is a frequent speaker on both the local and national levels on topics ranging from tax accounting, innovation, and related technologies. His resolute focus on client service ensures the highest-level client satisfaction.

Raised in the Philadelphia area, Dave now resides in Jeffersonville, Pennsylvania with his wife and daughter. He enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and is an avid cyclist.
