Joseph is a Managing Director in GTM’s NY Metro office, where he leads the firm’s New York City practice.
He brings more than twenty-five years of experience providing tax consulting and compliance management services across federal, state, and international tax. Joseph has extensive experience in the areas of accounting for income taxes (ASC 740), corporate tax compliance, transaction advisory, and tax planning. Joseph specializes in providing managed outsource and co-source solutions to domestic and multinational companies, including private equity portfolio companies and U.S. subsidiaries of foreign corporations.
Joseph advises clients on all aspects of income tax accounting, including FIN 48, ASC 740-270, APB 23 and business combination accounting, and has significant experience advising companies on corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, take-private transactions, spin-offs, and divestitures.
Prior to joining GTM, Joseph was a lead tax partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in Philadelphia where he served domestic and international companies across many industries, including pharmaceutical and life sciences, retail and consumer goods, technology, manufacturing, and industrial products.
On the private sector side, Joseph has served in executive tax leadership roles with several multinational companies where he was responsible for all aspects of global strategy, tax compliance, and accounting.
A native of Pennsylvania, he enjoys spending quality time with his family, including his three children, as well as traveling, the arts, and staying active.
