Joe is a Managing Director in Global Tax Management’s NY Metro office where he leads the firm’s growth and expansion in New York City.
He brings more than twenty years of experience serving multinational companies in providing tax consulting and compliance management services in the areas of federal, state, and international tax. Joe has extensive experience in the areas of accounting for income taxes (ASC 740), corporate tax compliance, transaction advisory, and tax planning. Joe specializes in providing managed outsource and co-source solutions to multinational companies including private equity portfolio companies and US subsidiaries of foreign corporations (inbound clients).
Joe advises clients in all aspects of income tax accounting, including FIN 48, FIN 18, APB 23 and purchase accounting, and has substantial experience advising companies in need of transactional tax services as a result of corporate transactions such as IPOs, take-private transactions, spin-offs, and divestitures.
Prior to joining the firm, Joe was a lead tax partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, where he served large, publicly traded multinational companies across many industries including pharmaceutical and life sciences, industrial products, retail, and consumer goods. As lead tax partner, Joe was responsible for the overall leadership of global tax engagement teams, coordination of tax services and identification of appropriate technical resources to match client needs.
On the private sector side, Joe has served as executive tax leadership roles with several multinational companies where he was responsible for all aspects of global strategy, tax compliance and accounting.
He resides in New York City and often returns for visits to his native suburban Philadelphia. Joe enjoys spending time with his family, including his three children, as well as traveling and reading.
