Brian Volz is a Director in GTM’s lead practice based out of the firm’s New York office. He brings extensive experience advising multinational, public, and private clients across the Industrial Products, Pharmaceuticals, Life Sciences, and Retail sectors, with a focus on U.S. federal, state, and international tax matters. Brian specializes in ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes, including the preparation and audit of income tax accruals, managing large-scale corporate tax compliance engagements, and implementing strategic tax planning initiatives.
Since joining GTM in 2025, Brian has been recognized by clients and colleagues alike for his technical expertise, leadership, and commitment to delivering efficient, high-quality solutions.
Prior to GTM, Brian served as a Tax Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Philadelphia market, where he oversaw tax provision calculations, corporate tax compliance, and audit support for large multinational public companies. His responsibilities included reviewing financial statements, tax disclosures, and ensuring Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. He also worked as a Tax Director at a multinational organization, where he was responsible for overseeing global compliance, preparing financial statements under IAS 12, and leading various restructuring projects.
