Howard Braithwaite

Principal

Howard is a Principal at GTM based in the firm’s Philadelphia Metro office. His primary focus is on federal and U.S. international income tax matters. Howard has more than forty years of professional tax experience, all with two Big Four firms: PwC and KPMG. The majority of the time with PwC was with their Washington National Tax Practice. The ten years was in the International Tax Practice group with KPMG. During this time, Howard managed tax consulting services related to federal and U.S. international tax matters, as well as tax provision review services. Early in his career he devoted time to tax compliance services in the form of review of client federal income tax returns. Howard was involved in the formal national training programs with both firms, instructing, co-instructing, and developing and facilitating various programs. He is currently a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA). Howard is also President of the Board of Directors of Overbrook Friedlander Programs (OFP), an affiliate of Overbrook School for the Blind. He retired from that school’s Board after more than thirty years of service including time as Treasurer, and currently serves on several of their committees. Howard is married with four grown children along with a grown foster daughter. He resides in Maple Glen, PA. His principal hobbies are reading, bridge, and tennis. Howard is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA).
