Steve Simunov

Data Analytics Supervisor, SALT Indirect Tax

Steve is a Data Analytics Supervisor in GTM’s State and Local Tax (SALT) practice, primarily focused on supporting the sales and use tax group. He is responsible for assisting the team with analysis of large volumes of data for tax planning and analysis purposes. His knowledge in data analysis, automation, and business process management allows him to support his team and GTM clients with a variety of data management and analytical services. Since joining GTM in 2018, Steve has gained an advanced knowledge in tax automation services and data manipulation. His focus has been toward data analysis and validation techniques to help streamline the SALT team’s sales and use tax services. Prior to joining GTM, Steve gained experience in audit and analysis with AAA Mid-Atlantic, supporting their Internal Audit Department. He has developed a complete understanding of business concepts and entrepreneurship working alongside Widener University’s Small Business Development Center, and was able to help several clients achieve their business goals through consulting services. Steve also has had the pleasure of competing in Northeast USA SAP ERPsim Competitions to further his knowledge of business applications. Residing in Glen Mills, PA, Steve enjoys playing tennis and basketball competitively, and playing his classical guitar and saxophone. He is an avid Philadelphia sports fanatic and supports his teams all year round.
