Valerie Brooks

Valerie Brooks is a Supervisor in GTM’s Tax Automation Services (TAS) practice. She specializes in tax process improvement and the implementation of client tailored data analytics and automation solutions. Valerie joined GTM in June of 2022. During her time with the firm, she has assisted clients in the enhancement of their tax related processes by deploying custom automation solutions. She has developed these solutions using various data transformation tools including Alteryx and Power Query. Valerie has also provided ONESOURE Tax Provision and ONESOURCE Income Tax support services, assisting with various processes such as workpapers development, RTP automation, and custom reporting needs. Prior to joining GTM, Valerie started her career with Grant Thornton in their corporate tax services group. She began specializing in tax automation services in July of 2020 when she transitioned to Grant Thornton’s Tax Digital Consulting group. In that role, she focused on tax software implementations including the implementation of ONESOURCE Tax Provision, ONESOURE Income Tax, and the Corptax Provision software. Valerie was raised in Philadelphia, PA and currently resides in the Manayunk neighborhood of Philadelphia. She enjoys spending time in center city exploring new restaurants and activities with family and friends.
