David Hillegass

David is an Associate Director in the State and Local Tax Practice based in Wayne, PA. He specializes in indirect taxes from both a technical and a technological perspective. Since joining GTM, David’s primary responsibilities have included supporting clients’ indirect tax compliance function, assisting with technical consultation on matters of indirect tax law, supplementing clients’ daily indirect tax logistics, and providing support services for clients’ indirect tax technology. David leads the sales and use tax technology consulting function at GTM, providing remediation, enhancement, and implementation services for clients’ sales and use tax technologies. Prior to joining GTM, David began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. He spent a total of 8 years in various functions within the organization. David serviced clients in aspects covering multiple areas of taxation, including: state and local sales and use taxes, state and local income taxes, payroll taxes, and trust taxes. David spent the latter portion of his previous experience assisting in the implementation and issue remediation of clients’ indirect tax technology in addition to providing indirect tax consulting. Outside of GTM, David resides in Malvern, PA where he enjoys golfing, finding new places to eat, and spending time with loved ones. DESIGNATION: EDUCATION: CPA, MST B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from University of Notre Dame, M.S. in Taxation from Villanova University
