Trevor Rosenthal

Manager, R&D Tax Credit Services

Trevor is a Manager in Global Tax Management’s R&D Tax Credit Services practice, and brings more than 25 years of R&D tax experience to GTM’s clients. Trevor focuses on helping clients resolve a range of issues in connection with R&D, primarily cost recovery under IRC § 174 and research tax credits under IRC § 41. He has experience across multiple industries, including life sciences, manufacturing, software, technology, entertainment, and transportation. First introduced to R&D tax services while at a Coopers & Lybrand, Trevor went “in house” and managed R&D tax matters at two publicly traded companies before returning to public accounting to provide R&D consulting services, most recently at KPMG. Trevor previously worked with Jonathan Forman (Managing Director of GTM’s R&D Tax Credit Services practice) for seven years at BDO USA, LLP, when Jonathan was leading that practice. Trevor has authored comments to Treasury on R&D concerns and has appeared at multiple hearings on proposed regulations. He has also written for the Journal of Partnership Taxation and Smart MNE. Trevor is a CPA licensed in Georgia and New York. He is a member of the AICPA and NYSCPA. Trevor resides in Long Island City, NY, with his wife. He is a member of SAG- AFTRA and has appeared in over 60 television and film productions, almost always in a “blink and you will miss it” background role.
