For the fourth consecutive year, Global Tax Management (GTM,) has been named among the Philadelphia region’s healthiest employers by The Philadelphia Business Journal. The annual Healthiest Employers report, which evaluates wellness programs in the workplace, recognizes GTM for its ongoing commitment to wellness at all levels of the organization, as well as for its specific offerings and high participation rate. GTM ranked second among companies in the small business category.
GTM’s Wellness Program serves as a backbone of the firm’s culture. Events and challenges are planned by an employee-led Health and Wellness Committee (HAWC,) which encourages and increases engagement at a peer level. From Goat Yoga to CPR and nutrition training, GTM interweaves its monthly events with the firm’s insurance premium incentive to give employees many opportunities to participate in fitness and wellness events and giving them points towards achieving their wellness goals.
As a result of its wellness offerings, the company has seen a decrease in medical claims costs, at-risk employees, and the prevalence of chronic conditions among its population. In addition, GTM’s Wellness Program and HAWC have created a sense of camaraderie, continuity, and social connection among staff and leadership that supported the firm during its time working remotely, and as it has transitioned back to a hybrid working environment.
GTM is a 100% employee-owned company. Its Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) value has increased in value per share by more than 600% since its inception.
