Global Tax Management Recognized as a 2019 Healthiest Employer

WAYNE, Pa. (June 13, 2019) — Today the Philadelphia Business Journal honored Global Tax Management (GTM) as one of the region’s 2019 Healthiest Employers at Center City’s Ballroom at the Ben. This award program celebrates the companies and organizations who are doing the most to help keep their employees healthy and thriving through innovative wellness programs.

The Business Journal partners with national company Springbuk to evaluate and assess the companies nominated for the Healthiest Employers program. Employers complete an online assessment and receive a Healthiest Employers Index (HEI), a 1-100 metric to measure their program.

Notable aspects of GTM’s wellness program include the powerful combination of an employer funded benefits program with an employee-run Health and Wellness Committee (HAWC) to drive positive wellness outcomes for its employee population. GTM interweaves monthly HAWC events with insurance premium incentives to give employees many opportunities to participate in company-paid fitness and wellness events (such as rock climbing, healthy cooking classes, nutrition counseling, and even axe-throwing) that give them points towards achieving the incentive and a fun experience with colleagues. This has resulted in a high participation rate for our HAWC events and improved employee health outcomes.
