Global Tax Management Names New Managing Director to Steer the Firm through Period of Unprecedented Growth

Industry veteran, David Laurinaitis, succeeds founding president Joseph DiBianca after 20 years

RADNOR, Pa.–(January 14, 2015) (BUSINESS WIRE)–Leading Mid-Atlantic tax firm, Global Tax Management, Inc. (GTM), is making some significant leadership changes as it embarks on its 20th year in operation. GTM founding President and Managing Director, Joseph DiBianca, is now leading the company’s growth and strategic planning initiatives as Chairman and Strategic Advisor. DiBianca is succeeded by David Laurinaitis, who had served the company as Vice President and Practice Leader of the Radnor, PA corporate office. Laurinaitis assumed the role of President and Managing Director effective January 1, 2015.

“Joe has provided great leadership over the past 20 years”

DiBianca served as GTM President and Managing Director since the company’s founding in 1995. He now seeks to reduce his duties to pursue other personal interests while retaining an active role in the company. DiBianca will focus on client relations and strategic initiatives, assist with the company’s ESOP oversight, and act as an advisor to the existing management team. DiBianca will also remain a full member of the Board of Directors.

“I’m proud of what we have accomplished – establishing a reliable and innovative tax management firm consisting of professionals who care about their clients and the communities in which we live and work,” said DiBianca. “Now, it’s time for me to start a new chapter in my life. GTM is uniquely positioned to grow exponentially over the coming years.”

GTM has jumped in size recently, with 20 percent annual revenue growth over the last three consecutive years and more than 120 employees throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. The company was also named among the best places to work in Pennsylvania for the second consecutive year in 2014. “Our success is largely a result of attracting highly qualified leaders in the field, focusing on client service, and developing new service offerings that leverage modern technologies. With Dave at the helm, GTM will undoubtedly continue this path and drive renewed energy to the entire organization.”

Laurinaitis succeeds DiBianca with full support of the leadership group and Board of Directors. He has been with GTM for 18 years and has been an integral contributor to the growth of the firm. Prior to GTM, Laurinaitis spent 11 years at KPMG, where he served as a Senior Tax Manager.

DiBianca added, “Dave brings decades of experience, a relentless commitment to customers, and new vigor to the role. He also has many innovative ideas for continuing our growth. It became clear to GTM’s Board and leadership team that we had the best candidate in house with Dave based on his passion for the company and his involvement in the management and growth of the firm for the past 18 years. Dave has repeatedly stepped up to new challenges and we have every confidence he will do so again as President and Managing Director.”

“Joe has provided great leadership over the past 20 years,” noted Laurinaitis. “Continuing a legacy of exceptional client service, maintaining a strong family oriented culture to attract and retain the best talent in the industry, and structuring the firm for a continued growth trajectory are my key priorities. We work with an impressive portfolio of clients, and expect our footprint in the region to expand as we stay focused on these core business objectives.”
