Kellie Banky

Kellie is a Director within the lead tax practice of GTM’s Pittsburgh office. She focuses on providing domestic tax services to multinational corporations in the pharmaceutical, life science, and manufacturing industries. Kellie is experienced in ASC 740 tax provision calculations and disclosures, as well as federal and state tax compliance and tax controversy.

Kellie brings more than 25 years of tax experience in industry and public accounting to GTM and her clients. Prior to joining the firm, she spent 14 years as the Senior Domestic Tax Director for a Fortune 500 pharmaceutical company. In this role, she was responsible for all aspects of the Company’s domestic tax position including the domestic tax provision, federal and state tax compliance, and IRS/state tax controversies. Kellie also developed tax planning strategies for the Company including the maximization of tax credits and accounting methods optimization, and was responsible for the implementation of newly enacted tax legislation. Additionally, she acted as the Large Case IRS CAP coordinator and negotiated multimillion dollar settlements.

Prior to joining the pharmaceutical company, Kellie was employed at Ernst & Young for ten years, leaving as a Senior Manager.

Kellie is a lifelong “Pittsburgher.” She and her husband, George, live in Mt. Lebanon. Their two grown children live in Pittsburgh area as well. Kellie enjoys skiing, golfing, traveling and playing with her granddaughter.
