Kristen is a Principal within GTM’s State and Local (SALT) practice, specializing in state and local tax compliance related to changes in federal taxable income. She is well-versed in reviewing original tax returns, identifying adjustments from federal audits or amended returns, and ensuring accurate incorporation of those changes across all applicable jurisdictions. Kristen also manages updates to tax attributes, including net operating losses, capital loss carryovers, and tax credit tracking.
Kristen has over 27 years of state income and franchise tax experience from her tenure at DuCharme, McMillen & Associates, Inc. (DMA), prior to the practice joining GTM in 2025. She also brings deep expertise in audit settlement planning, state tax research, and the development of recovery strategies that minimize state tax liabilities independently of federal changes. Her work has resulted in over $1 million in tax savings for clients across a wide range of industries, including banking, healthcare, pharmaceutical, and technology.
Kristen is proficient in tax software platforms such as CorpTax and ONESOURCE, and she regularly attends industry seminars focused on state and local tax.
