Michael is a Managing Director in GTM’s lead tax practice, based in the firm’s Philadelphia Metro office. He primarily focuses on accounting for income taxes, global provision consolidation, tax basis balance sheets, and tax technical issues. He also has experience with multiple software tools including ONESOURCE software products. Michael is a member of the leadership team for GTM’s Tax Accounting Technical Group.
Since joining GTM in 2008, Michael has spent much of his time completing quarterly and year-end tax provisions for large multinational corporations using ONESOURCE Tax Provision (OTP). This work included preparation of ASC 740-270 effective rate modeling, global provision consolidation, FX calculation assistance, profit-in-ending inventory tax rate calculation, discrete tax calculations, valuation allowance review, ETR, and all footnote and MD&A preparation, amongst many other roles. His clients include mid-size and large public and private multinational organizations, including spin-offs, acquisitions, dispositions, and restructurings.
Prior to joining GTM, Michael was a Senior Auditor for Deloitte. His responsibilities as a lead audit senior for public companies included Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, assistance in 10-Q/K reporting requirements, audit of the financial statements, and technical accounting research
Michael was born and raised in the Philadelphia area. He enjoys soccer, fishing, sports, and time at the beach with family.
