Matt Delaney

Senior Manager, Tax Automation Services

Matt is a Senior Manager in GTM’s Tax Automation Services (TAS) practice, focusing on emerging technologies and enterprise applications that are making their way into modern tax departments. His specialties include data management, analytics, automation, & strategy to deliver integrated and innovative solutions to his clients. His background as a tax technology leader for a large multinational corporation as well his consulting experience have equipped him with a combination of technology and subject matter expertise to bring a new level of operational efficiency to tax departments. Matt is a frequent contributor to industry analyses, and his work has been published in Tax Notes. Matt re-joined GTM in March 2020 and has focused on assisting clients in the data management, analytics, and automation space to ensure they are keeping up with the modern day demands place on tax departments. He was previously with GTM from 2014 to the end of 2017 in the TAS group, focusing on direct tax software implementations, collaboration and workflow tools, and enterprise and business intelligence applications. Prior to GTM, Matt was a tax technology leader at a fortune 500 multinational company in the Philadelphia suburbs, driving the tax technology strategy, project management, emerging technology adoption, and lean management initiatives for the global tax department across all areas of tax, including direct, transfer pricing, planning, and indirect tax. His focus was on enabling delivery of the tax strategy through technology and end-to-end global process improvements, both within the tax department and cross-functionally. Matt currently resides in Phoenixville, PA with his wife and cat, Trooper. He enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, and is an avid cyclist, runner, skier, and triathlete.
